Oh yeah, definitely it has potential to be used by many applications other than gaming. Imagine that it works and you're able to bind a few keys (even just 2 keys). If OCZ release the SDK, the possibilities are endless... It will allow anybody with brain waves to operate a computer with the right application
I thought the same thing about helping the disabled. I mean if it can let you shoot pin point accurate after a year, if they wear it whilst using their regular steering apparatus, either touchpad or joystick etc, driving around is going to be well easier.
Thinking about it, even driving a regular car could incorporate this. It would cut breaking distances by far.

The real world applications are endless, especially with the amount of computing power you have in most modern cars now. One problem I see is the distractions, face it most blokes are eyeing up the talent walking down the street, it would take mucho concentration to reduce accidents, one major problem is that you will end up with 2 types of gamers once this is released, active gamers (those who use the wii) and lazy gamers who use this, obviously thats based on us able bodied people.
I know its off topic but did anyone see that there releasing a pole dancing game with interactive pole for the wii, I think more gaming innovations need to be seen , bring back robby the robot!!!

Yeah for sure, the applications of it are amazing.
Come to think of it, the power supply would be required. I'll have to consider about good adapter for an aussie style one. What kind of prongs are used in your area Jaster.

thats what we use
however most electronics coming from the far east come with some kind of multi convertor...for us that is...to convert 2 pin to 3 pin...as soon as we get one a full photo package of the box contents will be posted...that 'll give u time to get it sorted whilst its on its way to you...that NIA will be better travelled then I am...Taiwan, to UK Via god knows, UK to Australia Jeez thats some milage

NP Mate, you can just email the sales team to ammend your order if need be..in terms of change of address...there usually quite flexible..but if u need to cancel so be it...I spoke to one of the purchasers today and he said nothings come through on the official line but he's feeling confident about immenent shipment, (he also said that about the Phenom launch though)

I'm surprised how few retailers are actually advertising this...I know there are gonna be serious supply shortages for the first few months but you would of thought that more of the bigger distributors would be jumping on the bandwagon..I'mjust hoping the patience pays off...

Right we just spoke with our distributers like 5 minutes ago, apparently 300 Units are due into the UK today, there gonna call us as soon as there booked in...fingers crossed its looking promising...if it happens we'll have them monday and anyone who has international orders should hopefully get them end of next week

Right I spoke with our account manager at 5:27pm...he said he's not sure whats goingon...all he knows is that 3 containers have been delayed at customs and its expected to be sorted by monday...he wouldnt say for definite whether that its the NIA's...however we have not been able to contact OCZ either today and I'm hoping its cos there rushed off there feet with a new product launch...I'm personally a bit peeved as I know the distributor and I was hoping that if they had them in I could of got one on a priority saturday delivery...that would of really made my weekend...but as of yet STILL no guarantee's...for fecks sake OCZ pull yer socks up...

Fed up to the back teeth now, it seems that no one knows absolutely anything, I phoned the person I spoke to on friday and they basically said that it has been put back to the end of the month, however I then asked "so you have a guaranteed date" to which they replied "no"....I then said "how can u say that its been put back till the end of the month if you have no guaranteed date" to which they replied "I don't know"...again OCZ have not been available to comment , but believe me I'm calling them every 20 mins till I get an answer
