NZXT Phantom Side-Panel Mod

Hello there!

I was thinking about turning my machine into something that's more attractive to the eye.

I have a full-tower NZXT Phantom Enthusiast case, of which I want a clear side panel on.

I am aware that there is the pre-made panel that NZXT sells them self, the one which just replaces the.. 200m(?) side fan, however I'm not so sure I'll be satisfied with that window due to my "all or nothing" attitude.

So I'm wondering if anyone has made a fully clear side panel for this case, and how your experience was doing it (if you modding it yourself).

Do you have any links to pictures of it?
Was it a hard side-panel to work with?
Did you buy the materials online? If so may I ask where from?

I understand the following:
1) My temps will increase
2) The side panel will most likely become a lot more flimsy
3) If modding yourself, 'there's always a risk' (Worse comes to worse, I'll buy the pre-made one, but I thought I'd give it a go whiles I have my current one)

If anyone's curios why I wish to do the mod:
1) I finally bought a case that I could cable manage, although with my current side panel, I can't really admire the tidiness
2) I plan to move my case on-top of my desk, but with the mesh side-panel the LEDs appear to be flickering to my eyes (although they aren't, it's just my personal eye sight) which would give me instant headaches.
3) I have a 'thing' for clear glass / perspex + shiny LEDs

Coxey.

Edit: INB4U, I don't wish to purchase an entire new case with the side panel already fully clear like some may suggest.

I don't think a fully acrylic side panel is workable for this case.

MNPCTECH make one for the 600t but that has a side panel design wherein the sidepanels are 'cradeled by the chassis, they don't slide into tabs.

You could cut your own window.

You could cut your own window.

Was planning to do so, you'll have to excuse the high-quality MS Paint skills here ^^

I was planning on the two following options:

A]

B] There are two options within this image, the dotted line or solid (basically the slant going up and to the front of the case)

We'll see, if i go ahead with this task I'll do one of those Picture log things! ;)
