NZXT Phantom 630

Well easier said than done. Prices in Europe are higher than US prices... Personally I'd prefer newegg but they only ship in the US. a case like that would be about 20-25% more expensive over here... ordering it from another country in EU, even cheaper would cost me more with all the shipping taxes... So if i'd really want to buy it , i'd wait for it to make its presence in shops, and i do use "le internets" when it comes to ordering components mostly. :)

So do I, I just found a low price reseller in my own country that sells loads of stuff from NZXT even before they had great success world wide.

i don't knew for price like this... i would probably still take CM haf x or corsair 600t or bunch of other bether looking and performing cases =D probably u must be a fan boy of nzxt to buy that case in such price...

You're right :D

I wouldn't really say it's affordable...
£160 in the UK,

That's still more than the Stryker and Trooper, and into pricing ranges of Lian Li and Silverstone who don't use any of the cheap plastic construction.

Is it just me, or are cases these days getting unnecessarily expensive?
I'd like to know how NZXT can justify the extra £60 price over the original Phantom. It's not like the material cost is that much more.

Plus - the 410 looks better with the original window, and the original has a side panel available.

I totally agree with you!

The 820 is only $100 (Around) more than the original one, for so much more features, innovation, looks and quality.
Stops being speds.

There are several different things that are different between the P820 and the P630.

P820:
Taller than P630
Integrated Hue control for all LEDs on Front and inside lighting
4 Channel Digital Fan controller
Sits taller with foot for more airflow to bottom radiator
More expensive

P630:
Split level motherboard tray
Fully modular HDD system, can mount a 240 radiator in the front without removing drive cages.
Wider than the P820
Single Channel Fan controller
Cheaper

The P630 is more of a mix between the S810 and the Original Phantom, where the P820 was more closely related to the S810 than the original Phantom.

As for price, considering all of the features the P630 has over the original Phantom, and a better overall build quality, yeah, the price is very reasonable. Not to mention, when the original Phantom was released, it went for 139.99. 40 dollars above that for a far better case isn't unreasonable.

Does the 630 have the plate in the optical bays?
Is it possible to fit in a 60mm thick, 360 rad without any modding, with the barbs at the front?

Good question, I'm not sure (haven't seen one in person yet), but the Radiator does sit further back (about an inch and a half) than it did in the Switch 810. So there's far less worry of covering up fans. You could always fit your fans up above the top of the chassis underneath the top cover.

Cheers for the reply - the issue of covering the fans up doesn't bother me too much. But obviously if barb ports at the front are covered by a plate it would be an issue.
Just trying to plan possible watercooling options - and atm, the two Phantoms and the Switch seem to be the best options.

There are some newer radiators out there from XSPC and EK that have ports on both ends, as well. So you could take your CPU up to the rear of the radiator, and then have one front port go to a reservoir.

I think EK's rads are pretty sexy. And they don't come with those crappy plastic fittings, they come with nickel plated fittings for plugs. Pretty badass.

The NZXT Phantom 630

Thumb Screws to remove the HDD cages?
SSD mounts on the back of the motherboard tray?
Full support for a 240 Rad in the front WITH full HDD capacity?
A 3 step 30 Watt Fan Controller?
Holes in the top of the Motherboard Tray for cable management?

This case is awesome :D. I feel like our input here mattered. :P Yay.

I would buy one if I didn't already own a Crafted Series Phantom. :)

I felt like that would happen. I looked, but didn't see any thread on the front page that seemed related based on Title. My bad.

Edit: Ooooh, I get it. The title of the Thread is the NZXT 830, not the 630. That and I only looked in the NZXT section of the Forums.

Huh. Typos suck.
