Expect much better VRAM cooling with Nvidia's RTX 40 series.

Have a look at Nvidia's leaked RTX 4090 Ti heatsink.

all the RTX line up "top of the line" begining on 3080ti and up (rtx 3090 and 3090ti) is just a disaster in terms of price per fps as shown in the recent videos of Hardware unboxed.
The price to performance ratio is really bad. RX 6900 and RX 6950XT is much better in comparison.
IF the price is above the actual features, it will be a disaster like the actual line up. Nvidia always abuses of high prices because people are a bit "ya know boi".
Do not buy this cards. You will not get them at MSRP either, but at scalping prices, so who cares???
Prices are almost somewhat reasonable now, I made sure to buy mine, it's being delivered today, I won't wait again just for these new cards to prove they are 2x as powerful but 8x as efficient at mining and bring back all the miners to the GPU market.
I know I can play modern games very well now, if those cards are actually well priced and perform as good as the rumours suggest I might buy an RTX 40 late next year but more probably i'll wait for RTX 50, and hope it comes with better power comsumption.
Even if 30 series drops in price when 40 series launch I will still be happy, at least I guaranteed mine instead of hoping for better prices.
I just looked on OCUK.
£818 was the cheapest 6800XT.
Cheapest 3080 10gb was £829.
You'd be high to buy the Radeon. I don't care what arguments people are making about AMD because they are lacking hardware features. Period. As such then like back in the Physx days they should be far cheaper. Not the same (£11 is irrelevant).
You can't enter the discussion with a GPU you paid £0 for. I'm not being rude by saying that btw. It's an £818 GPU minimum (Sapphire Pulse, their cheapest card).
I can absolutely guarantee if you wanted a GPU and had that much to spend you totally *would not* buy the Radeon.
The fact that on the other side of the pond the Nvidia is even cheaper than the Radeon just makes it more hilarious.
AMD can GTF.
I was always going to go amd this time around.
I don't disagree on price, but your mostly wrong on everything else. I have most DXR games they all play fine, so while your all banging on about dlss try turning it off and see how it runs, amd have fsr rsr fsr2 that argument is getting old amd are catching up, they just dont have the vast staff that Intel or Nvidia do and up until now neither the cash to do it.
FSR2 is so on point with dlss they might as well be the same thing.
i don't want leather jacket man getting any pennys from me when he out right lies saying that a 3080 is twice the performace of the 2080ti that would be like voting for Boris.
ave jumped a lot, issue is they will keep doing it.
Still run that ezbench i know you have a few 2080ti's sitting around you need to run that yourself, you card is going to suffer man 2080ti not going to cut it and neither will a 3090ti people on there asking for a looped benchmark so they can use it as a stress test and so the UE5 games when they start fully getting to grips with them we'll all need new GPU's but as it stand no matter what you buy atm it's good enough for any game.
Mining will die once ETH goes PoS and Nvidia , AMD and Intel will have to sell their cards with way low msrp because miners are not going to buy them. Instead in just about 6 months they will begin dumping hard their gpus and you´ll be able to buy any RTX 30 series even in warranty at 50% MSRP.
Believe me. Mining is dead. Don't take mining into account while considering buying a GPU. Prices will go to the floor once ETH mining dies.
