Nvidia shows off the TITAN X at GDC

I would not be surpriced that this would be over 1200 Euros... and people would still buy it and in SLI - knowing that the 980ti will be released for much less and that is nearly neck in neck with the Titan X.

Also can some one confirm that ALL of the VRAM is usable in gaming?

I think after the 970 fiasco there is no way NVidia would announce a 12gb card where you could only use 11gb.

I think we are safe in the knowledge that it will be able to use 12gb.

I don't think it would matter.. at this moment of time you won't get near 11GB of vram usage.. Your system ram would probably max out first with 8GB of it:p

But will it be the full fat core or will we be getting another Titan *non black* ?

If it's the full GM200 then I will gladly join the Titan X owners club, If not then I'll await this gens Titan Black "Full" version and then get that.

Would be funny to see if they would dare to release the *real* Titan X later on, do you think they would rape their loyal fans again like they did last time?? Titan = 780 oc, then Titan Black = 780 ti OC

I think it was a real d*ck move to screw their Original Titan owners with the Titan Black - not even mentioning the 780ti.....

They don't have the opportunity this time round as the clock is ticking for new cards with GDDR5 memory. By next year HBM on cards with 8gb or more will be possible making it pointless to launch a new card like a Titan X2 with old GDRR5.

I think this is why we have seen the arrival of the Titan X as it will only be viable as a new card for the rest of the year. Next year belongs to HBM.

I am begging for a AMD card that can kick Nvidia off the GPU N.1 spot - we need some good cards from AMD just so NVIDIA cant rip off the users. Hope that MAD can compete with the Titan X with a real card for much less money.

AMD's cards aren't that far behind TBH.

The Ares 3 is just a 295X2 with a nice water block, The Titan X according to the benches still isn't faster but I wouldn't expect even AMD's or Nvidias top GPU to beat 2 top last gen cards on 1 PCB.
That will probably come with the next gen of cards i.e AMD 4xx series and Nvidia 1xxx series.
