Nvidia Monster Hunter Online Benchmark

Christmas was a bit mental, looads of driving. Since we've moved to Cambridge I've been home and seen my parents more than I did when I lived only a few miles away >.<

But yeah, not bad, back at work now. Which for the first time in 5 years I was actually looking forward to.

Nice to see you back good sir.

Avast threw a hissy fit trying to download that. "Suspicious item detected" several times, then my download manager crapped out follow by Firefox moments later lol.

Think I'll try to get this elsewhere as it's very very rare for a genuine download to trip anything. I wonder what this .exe does that upsets AV software so? Whatever it does, it does it in the first 300kB. Also, even when Avast has stopped things for me in the past, it's never had quite such a drastic effect!

False positives are a thing of course, but very very rare for the most part. Think I will avoid for now.

Scoob.

Heya, Newbie here after finally using a new router and IP which finally allowed me to register here.

The ranked 720p Benchmark landed 31040 on Overclocked two-way-SLI GTX 970 (MSI Armor and Palit 'Vanilla', +180 Core, 7.7Ghz Memory) and a Core i7 2600K OC at 4.4 GHz.

Cranking up to 1080p gave me 21739.

My two and half year old rig only got 13234, I wonder if AMD will push out a Crossfire profile. My pair of 7970's are starting to feel very old. Spring 2012, these bad boys cost me £820 quid for the pair. The section with the cat looked janky as hell but the dinosaur section looked nice.

They don't even have a game ready driver nevermind a xfire profile.

Okay so here are a few videos I rendered of the benchmark itself.

Monster Hunter Online Benchmark 720p 60fps @ 4xMSAA

Monster Hunter Online Benchmark 1080p 60fps @ 4xMSAA

Monster Hunter Online Benchmark 3840x720p - No AA at 30FPS (Nvidia Surround)

Monster Hunter Online Benchmark 5760x1080p - No AA at 30FPS (Nvidia Surround)
TBA

Just some quick notes.

This game uses CryEngine 3 so it seems to support SLI well out of the box. There were a few hitches with a bit of stuttering but that I'm pretty sure that was more to do with my GPUs downclocking for whatever reason it may be. Hard to gauge just from the graphs. I'll have to do a proper benchmark and run that side by side with some logs from Afterburner in order to find out the cause of my core clock dips. Temps were all fine.

There seems to be some indication that MHO is aiming at an indefinite EN localization from various rumors and/or sources so we can be at ease when it comes to that.

Some of my own personal notes:

I'm not one for 720p gaming but I'd be down for gaming at Nvidia Surround at this resolution. It looked pretty solid for the benchmark. The 1080p surround was really tasking on my setup, even without Fraps and I'm a stickler for 60 fps.
