Sorry to necro an old thread but something has me a tad puzzled.

The Alien Isolation bench shows max settings were used at 1440P and an average of 232FPS was achieved.

No matter which card I try, 1080 Founders, 1080 Classified or my housemates 1080 Strix, The most either of us have managed even with a beastly overclock of 2100 on the Classy, Is around an average of 190FPS at 1440P max settings.

Could it possible be that the launch driver for the 1080 gave a maHOOsive boost to A.I ?

Well either the game really wasn't at max or the launch driver was magical for A.I ^_^

You could just download the driver from back then and test it.

The driver used was a press release driver not available to the general public, I'm putting it down to a fluke though, Tested 3 different 1080's so far all with whopping great big overclocks coupled with a 5930K @ 4.50GHz and a 6900K @ 4.40GHz, Still around 50FPS short of the review number.
