nVidia driver & Vista - nvlddmkm

Not sure where I`ve gone wrong or if I have, but it would seem that every game (Gear of War, Crysis, Speedball2, pfft) that I`ve installed has come up with "nvlddmkm" stopped responding and has recovered. Which kinda stops the game running.

Now I`ve searched this since GoW first crapped out on me the other day, always seems the games are at a preference screen or loading a next level.

There are 50million threads to find from people with Vista, XP, nvidia, Ati, 64, 32 (how the Ati people are getting an error in what looks like an nvidia file, I don`t know).

There are hotfixes - like the one mentioned when u startup GoW - done that/those, still happens.

EDIT: meant to change the title of thread but pressed cr instead >.< oops

Anywho any1 here had this and solved it ?

After reading literally 50million forum pages about reinstalling drivers, it`s *this* company`s fault, CPU overclocking issues, mobo memory issues and blame m$ and so on.

Different things have worked and not worked for different people. I`ve seen threads going back to November last year.

Found a small thread from some1 saying to slow down the memory on the gfxcard. I did, and I didn`t see the problem after playing Crysis yesterday.

People are having problems with Alienware pcs and the like, with no answers found, some miraculous heat theories. But if it continues to work, it may just be down to that.

I can`t remember what the stock speed on my XFX memory was, think it was 900 (1800), and I had tested it ok @ 1000(2000) - I`ve taken it down to 950 and we seem ok.
