Looks amazing, Interesting that they used 1 x 5090 for the game and 1 x 5090 for the effect, I wonder if that was just due to a last minute addition and optimisation will make ot doable on 1 x 5090 or if it's a sign of how power hungry this effect is.
OK, I'm officially impressed. What the actual ckuf? But what I actually want to know is can this be applied to RTX Remix mods, where it's really needed? I don't see thing taking off in AAA space. But modders could run wild with this tech.
I don't think it's that impressive visually if I'm being honest. The lighting is an upgrade but AI does a poor job(even if Nvidia is an AI leader) with human faces and to me I can't get over how much MORE fake it makes video games characters. I wouldn't also imagine it would make monsters (like Witcher 3 as mentioned) look more obviously fake.
In my opinion AI still has a long way to go and I certainly would still prefer the original artists intentions.
Yeah. It will be very interesting to see how this looks when it ships. It's worth remembering that it's only a demo for unreleased piece of software that's coming out at the end of the year. I'm excited for the possibilities.
The tech is cool, but I’m not sure I want AI changing how characters look. That’s a bit different from just improving image quality.
