Nvidia custom resolution ?

Tried out a custom resolution through the nvidia control panel and I went for 2560x1600 on my 27" 1080p, Desktop looked like a little fuzzy but wow the games looked that much crisper and I was able to choose 2560x1600 in the graphics options on Crysis 3, BF3 etc...
Anyone tried this or got any tweaks going ?

I didn't know you could even do that at least not select a resolution higher than what your monitor's native resolution was. Im kinda surprised it looked better. Generally picking a resolution other than the native makes things look worse.

I guess it just like activating AAx2 ?

From my understanding AAx2 doubles your resolution and under scans it on to your native resolution...

Correct me if I'm wrong ......
