Ok guys i have a problem with my motherboard but i'm not exactly sure what it is. The motherboard works fine if i short out the power supply, but otherwise it gets no power at all. Not sure exactly how to explain the problem so i made a video demonstating what i mean. Please watch and leave a comment on here or on the youtube video on what you think might be the problem. Thanks very much.

Well just a shot in the dark but are you sure the 24 pin ps connector is making good contact with the mb? If it is look for broken solder points under the connector. do you gave another ps to test with? can you rma the board under warranty? if it is the connector you could try a 24 pin extension cable. rma is best if it is the mb

That's the problem, the motherboard is out of warranty by about a year, was just using it for HWBot, There is nothing wrong at all with the power supply and i have tested the board with 2 other power supplies and all of them have the same resullts. I think it's a problem with thee 24 Pin connector on the mobo itself, but i'm not sure which connection might be the problem. I'm assuming it's the power OK connector as that would make the most sense. Do you think it would be possible for me to replace the 24Pin connector on the motherboard itself????

silly question. but. does the same thing happen when you use a power switch from the header, such as one from an atx case,
