Noob question re RAM heatsink

Hi,

I have 2 7600GTs and have purchased VF700s to go on them. I know this is probably a stupid qustion but the documentation with the fans and on the Zalman website shows RAM heatsinks going on both sides of the card. I only have RAM chips on one side. It does not look like I ould be putting heatsinks on the otherside. I am sure someone can confirm this for me!

Also, would AS5 be a good thermal to use on this setup?

Thanks in advance..

AS5 on the VF700's and thermal epoxy if you never want to take the ramsinks off, if you do leave on the thermal pads. If you only have ram on one side fo the card use all the ramsinks on that one side...

Theres only ram chips on one side of your card yes.

AS5 will be good for the GPU, yes, but you have to be careful with it.

As for teh ram on teh card u have to use the goop/pads on the ramsinks.

Thanks, guys, for the rapid response. Another question. What is the best, easily available solution to clean the gpu after taking the old hsf off?

I use TIM cleaner Its a lemon acid based cleaner and works wonders. Cheap at around £6

Same dog, different leg action :D When you buy them from the supermarket here in Aus, they have cotton buds on the label (same as UK). But Aus slang requires me to call them ear sticks lol. Sorry I should have elaborated
