Ill just post a pic:

I was wondering how to get that unallocated space onto my c drive so that its one whole hd again.

i dont think you can add it to your C: without a reformat, but u can make it into its own partition if u want fairly easily.

hmmm, how would i do that if i reformatted? because i tried that, but i can only pick one drive and reformat then rather then merge them together.

when u reformat xp gives you the option to delete partitions, delete whatever is there and make a new one the full size of the drive :) voila

It does? Whenever I bring up the recovery console it just brings up a prompt, and I type map>format C: /fs:ntfs and thats it.

i had this problem before because windows xp before sp2 didnt support large drives >138gb i think, so i had a missing bit from my 200gb hard disk drive.

anwyays i had to slipstream xp with sp2 and then reinstall a fresh copy of xp sp2

That`s crazy, I got a 250g and 160g drives working as one partition here on S1 and 189g on an ide, all sp2 pcs ?!?!

As regards to the c: partition, I know u can resize partitions with PartitionMagic, and I know it`s know to retain the data in cases - I`d back important stuff up and try it out.

(sorry if I`m missing anything relevant from a pic, but my firewall`s blocked it)
