noob help ram speed

Be gentle please bit of a noob when it comes to memory, my motherboard says it only supports upto 1333mhz ram if I use 1600mhz will it work I've read some sites saying yes but thought I'd ask here. Thanks

It should work, but it will be running at 1333MHz rather than 1600MHz.

What motherboard? And plus you can always OC it to the memory's specs. Should work.

Pretty sure the H61 chipset supports overclocking. Hopefully it does for the ram too.
If it does not its not a big deal. I would just get the timings down if possible.
