Agreed! If the product isn't right or ready then don't release it. It can be tight on the purse strings for a while and not every company can afford to do this, but if you can, it is ultimately more positive long term if a company consistently releases polished products.
Why though? It hasn't stopped Noctua being one of if not the leader in fan and heatsink design. They make massive amounts of money selling their 'awful' coloured fans. So do they REALLY need to give up on them? The evidence tells otherwise, that they're doing perfectly fine. I have no evidence for this, but I have a theory that one of the reasons Noctua are so successful is that they use brown and tan colours. Those colours are now intrinsically linked to premium quality. I think it's clever marketing.
