From some pictures i saw from an exhibition, this was one of many prototypes they had on show; seeing as Noctua is synonymous with High performance, it is good to see they are starting to be more creative on the mid-low end rage. From what i saw, they are going to be doing some HTPC specific coolers where hight restriction is an issue.

This is quite a bit cooler though, not quite HTPC sized.
 
I wonder how it compares to the D14 for those with slimmer cases.. Or like the NZXT Phantom who want to use the side fan as well even though it'd have to exhaust. With the size it'll definitely bring some more users into the Noctua camp

I like the looks of this one. Would be good if it lined up well with the vents on the side of a case for a clean draw of air. Bet it costs enough though XD

What board you going to be using? The UD3 again?

Be interesting to see whether it can fit in a triple channel memory board with a large North-bridge cooler.
