Noctua NH-D14 vs cooler master v8 and v10

Hey!

I'm thinking about buying a new cpu fan(I've only got the stock intel fan) for overcloking.

I was just wondering if Noctua also was better then the cooler master v series or if they have gone past them.

If you have any other suggestions that would be great.

Regards Sharp

everyone on this site would say the noctua nh d14 by far, I have one and a oced 4ghz+ 950 temps do not go over 60 degrees....enough said

Yes the Noctua D14 is better !

tested the Coolermaster v8 as well.....

I don't think the v10 is much better then the v8, just has extra memory cooling which is meh IMHO!

I've got the CM 690 II advanced, gigabyte x58A ud3r and 3x2gb 1600 Mhz corsair ram(witout cooling).

Is the noctua gonna fit?

what corsair ram ? it will fit anyway depending on how you set up your fans but if your ram has tall heatsinks, just take em of (my prefered tool is a sledgehammer for that)

Noctua wipe the floor with e V8, performs a fair bit better than the V10, while saving you money both in your electricity bill and initial purchasing price.

The Noctua can fit in your case, when it comes to RAM, if it's the Dominator RAM sticks, you may need to remove the top of the heatsink with the one nearest to the CPU, but don't worry it's RAM it's not gonna get hot and it won't explode or catch on fire if you remove the heatsink on top of it.
