Is there a forum or community link on the main site front page? I can't see one, except for the specific, individual thread links on each article.

I noticed that too, i used to search button in the beginning, now i am using the what's new link on the community tab :s

/personal opinion, would be nice to have a big forum button on the front page for next update :p (next to community, i mean it is confusing :D)

but there isn't one? when I go to the page I have bookmarked i.e.

http://www.overclock3d.net/ underneath the main logo there are headers for:
  • Home
  • Hardware
  • Software
  • Systems
  • Shopping
No community or forum tab!

You are probably already viewing the forum. If you are on the forum already the community tab will not show up

What Operating system/web browser are you guys using?
I'm using Fedora 12 with Firefox 3.5.6 (and I have tried disabling the add ons, but it makes no difference)

well the forum index page is http://forum.overclock3d.net/index.php so I don't think this is the problem

Fast work by the site admin! The row of tabs just got extended:

  • Home
  • Hardware
  • Software
  • Systems
  • Shopping
  • Community

Edit: is there a general issue with Firefox? I'm also noticing that the highlighted article panel on the upper left column of the front page isn't drawing correctly. Screen shot attached, you can see the text listing the highlighted new articles is rendering outside the panel

Could you maybe try clearing your cache and make sure there is no 'zoom' enabled in your browser. After fixing the Community bit, I checked the site in FF, Opera, Safari, Konqueror, Chrome and IE on all of their supported platforms and couldn't sere any issues.

Thanks Jim, I have tried clearing the cache as suggested and tried disabling add ons, changing preferences etc. None of it seems to make any difference. No zoom being used either.

However I did create a new user profile in Fedora, logging on as a completely new user and effectively using a completely fresh version of Firefox: that does fix the OC3D front page layout. So I guess I'll have play with it some more in the next week and see if I can figure out what exactly is causing the issue with the front page in my usual user profile.
