"No AMD graphics card drivers is installed"

I have been getting this random error message whenever I try to install AMD drivers for my RX 480 "No AMD graphics card drivers is installed, or the AMD driver is not functioning properly"

This happened randomly one day when I launched my PC so I just used DDU to uninstall my drivers and reinstall them. Then it did not work so I booted into safe mode and did DDU while making sure the generic drivers update on windows were disabled. Still no luck.

So I have reinstalled a new OS and disabled the generic driver update and installed the AMD drivers -- still the same error message. How do I install these drivers

Run gpuz and see what it shows fir your gpu I have an old titan 6gb that does a similar thing. But gpuz shows 0mb ram no mem bandwidth amount other things not listed. Basically I think in my situation a dead card but still showing an image.

You should make sure everything physical wise is connected and snug. That it's seated properly, etc.

Could the GPU be dead. I put my brothers 480 in my PC and it worked fine

I think it's bricked. Gonna send it off to aqua tuning but I can't open a support ticket...it says "To this order already existing a return" even though the previous one is closed which was to get a replacement fan set

Yea I am in the process. Aquatuning are a bitch to get a response from. But yea until I can get it sent off I am stuck with a dead GPU - no PC gaming
