Nividia Project SHIELD. Nvidia's TEGRA 4 mobile gaming/streaming device..

After releasing details of the Tegra 4 chip, Nvidia has finally brought Project SHIELD into the light. Holding a claim shell design, a Tegra 4 mobile GPU, and a 5" touch screen display this has the ability to play any game on the Google market place. But where this devices true potential lies in the fact it can stream games from a GTX powered pc on a Localized Area Network with little latency. Potentially this little device has for PC gaming makes it very promising indeed.

Very awesome, I saw this on newegg and Linus's channel. I have to say this thing might be competitive in the gaming handhelds market if the pricing is right.

I like the streaming aspect the most. I want to see some reviews before purchasing though.

I remember hearing something about the streaming aspect only working with the 600 series cards. I can't remember where though :/

Yea I saw this and kinda didn't like it. The idea is brilliant but where's the fun if we don't need to build all these powerful machines?

I much prefer the Steambox idea - bringing pc gaming to the console market is what pc gaming needs IMO.

Unrelated note, Puppet and Yassa ;___; we became Advanced members around the same time and you guys have all passed me....I really need a rig so I can join up with you guys as OC3D Elites DX

I think this is cool, but wish it wasn't tied to their little console. Long have I wanted the ability to stream my games from my PC to my laptop, so I can play my games in bed, etc.
