well as some of you may know my Noctua NH-D14 broke, and i am using a corsair H50 currently. i am thinking about getting rid of this closed loob for something big and shiny

. i want a aircooled system that is better than my H50, and i am stuck between the D14 and the Prolimatech Megahalems. they are both shiny! i also plan on sticking 2 2000RPM fans on the Mega in push pull, and will end up using stock fans on the D14. Price is not an issue for me, but i do want to get the best and i see review after review going back and forth on which one is better. please help!

well if you do not wanna use the DH14 again then the megahalms is the step down IMO coupled with some HF fans it shines

even more

it just wont be as good as the dh14

RMA the Noctua.

There is nothing better than it right now, unless you want to get a custom loop.

i plan on getting a second noctua soon anyways so i will have 2 of them. and it might be a few weeks before i get a new d14

The NH-D14 is both better and better value for money as the two fans it has cost like 15-20 quid each so technically you get the metal bit at around £20-30 which is an absolute bargain. On the Megahalems you get the heatsink itself without fans for 50 quid (was it?) and if you throw in a pair of good fans you still wouldn't have a heatsink as good and it would've cost you more anyway. But if you're all about looks then I could understand, the Noctua fans don't fit in with much imo.

I'd opt for the Cogage Arrow and ditch the stock fan to replace with a nice San Ace 120x38mm H1011 fan in the middle

Or if it's too big, get the Super Mega with 2x Scythe GTs (1450RPM) in push/pull, but that's quite expensive.
