My p5b deluxe according to OCZ does not like higher density ram such as the reaperx 4gb kit iv installed thus why i cannot get past the rated speeds of 1000mhz really. My p5b deluxe is kinda dying too - some of the fan headers do not work and the nb gets really hot.

I was wondering, without paying £180 odd which mobo is hot for

  1. pc2 8000 reaperx ram (getting over rated speeds easily)
  2. single card (will not be sli-ing)
  3. a good bios/reliability
  4. quad/next gen cpu friendly
  5. will not be using ddr3 as this ram is the mutts nuts

Theres the LT and UT, same board and bios afaik, but different cooling solutions. LT = a thermalright made NB cooler, UT = TransPiper cooling 2.0 (or something like that)

Hmm it does look a nice little board and isnt the x48 supposed to be an awesome chipset?

I bought the p5b dlx as it was the board to get at the time and i thought £120 was expensive! No striker 2 for me @ £280

Is the price of this board expected for decent boards nowadays?
