New Ultrawide monitor. LG or ACER?

Hello,

I want to buy a new monitor for gaming. I am between two ultra-wide monitors, lg34uc97 and Acer predator x35.

The Acer monitor is new but also very expensive 998 pounds. The LG is a bit older but way cheaper.

Could you please share your experience on which monitor to choose?
I don't really care about the specs. What I really want to know is if there is a noticable difference in games with a naked eye. Do the monitors feel the same or not?

Update: Are there any other ultra-wide monitor suggestions?

Thanks,

Plouto

I can tell you right off the bat, after having the Acer Predator X34 for a litte while, that viewing wise... It's utterly amazing!.

Although, for it's massive price - NOT worth it. It has gotten so much negative feedback regarding different issues, such as bad backlight bleeding (mine had the same), coil whine (mine as well), the image can get blurry etc etc. And the quality of it didn't feel on par with the price. Plastic etc, only the metal base felt like quality.

So personally I returned it, didn't see the point of having such a faulty monitor that has that price tag. With it's price tag, in my eyes, it should be effin' flawless.

Just my experience with it.

QC aint the best, but when you get a good one its absolutely lovely. Havent got the x35 specifically though.

Thanks for your prompt reply. Did you go for a different monitor afterwards?

No worries, that's what this site is for :)

Yeah, I digged up my older ASUS ROG Swift again, it had a dead/stuck pixel before (which Swift's are unfortunately known for), but after being tucked away for a while, I turned it on, grabbed a pen and nodded the dead pixel and it came to life. So maybe it had gotten cooled down from being tucked away that did the trick? I don't know...

But cause it's now "working", I'm using that and getting another ASUS 27" monitor, that is 1080p and not another Swift.

Well would you look at that.

Look at what?... You glorious master owner of that insane monsterous PC.

Ohh, and I forgot that there's the X35 as well lol :p... Misstook it for the X34, my bad!

My point still stand on the X34 though, no experience regarding the X35 though.
