new to watercooling

hi i have just bought all my parts for water cooling loop on my cpu i opted for compression fittings 3/8 and hose 3/8 so i just tried to test that the hose fitted over the barbs it fits fine but when i screw the fitting over the hose it will not tighten all the way it this fine as long tight or should i keep going until its all the way tightened :lol:

Do not over-tighten them! They usually don't go down all the way, you might damage the tube and or the screw. Make sure they are hand-tight, and check them now and then in the next weeks.
