New to PC gaming, New to PC building, New to the forum

Welcome to the forums and may I say this is a very, very nice rig my friend! It for sure looks that you did you homework on this build, very well put together. You have some great cable management in there, very unlike a first time builder. You have a machine to be proud of not only with those awesome specs, but your adeptness of assembling everything. Good job sir!

I will say I think optical drives are absolutely fine and don't diminish from the looks at all if your layout is setup right. Living in Alaska I need myself an optical drive for software and game installation due to the data caps they put on our internet up here. I only get 100GB a month for my household of 4 people and could you imagine downloading Titanfall (a 60+GB download) for both my brother and I we would go over just with the downloads and not even getting to play!) Also I still burn CD's and DvD's for myself friends and family (for music in car rides and I also edit videos.)

In short LONG LIVE THE OPTICAL DRIVE!
