New to cooling...

Hi all,

I recently bought a gaming PC with an AMD stock cpu cooler.

I'm looking to upgrade as it's very noisy, so I'd like to ask what almost silent upgrades for around the £60-£70 mark are there.

I need something that will run as silently as possible while keeping my cpu under 65%. I'm also looking for some silent 120mm case fans, hopefully with blue LED for a decent price too. I'll need three, so I'm trying to keep the cost low again.

Any ideas?

is the 60-70quid just for cooler or cooler and fans?? if the latter then save up some more and get a D-14 as for fans I love my spectre pro fans nice and quiet and they have led versions. but they aint cheap but they arent overly expensive either compared to some fans.

Just the cooler. I can afford another £50 or so for fans if needed.

I just want my missus to stop telling me to shut the PC down when the CPU gets too hot... It's like a banshee.

lol yeah I had msi after burner set to a fan profile to keep my cards cool while gaming while testing them out. And my missus was like ok really I'm trying to hear the tv as it kept getting louder the longer I played. reference designed cooler on AMD cards are loud lol.

but yeah get the Noctua NH D-14 and check out led fans the Bitfenix Spectre pro fans I mentioned are imho good fans and will easily ft in your budget

I've taken your advice then. Purchase made along with three blue LED spectre pro fans. Under £100.

Cheers for the advice. Hopefully by Wednesday, I'll be gaming in peace lol.
