They were even cheaper before that flood, but luckily prices are starting to come back down again!

And tbh, I'd chose a Samsung or WD 1TB drive over a 3TB Seagate any day! Even if they're the same price. I just personally feel like these are a lot more reliable :3

I think as long as you don't have one of the older .12 serial number drives you should be ok. I believe mine is a .13 and the .14's are now out and haven't seen any issues at all. My old old .12 did fail on me though.

I guess it just goes to show that one bad lot can ruin your reputation for a loong time!

Yes defiantly true. But I didn't say they were bad, but that I just prefer them.
