new soundcard - suggestions please :D

Well, my ema and my bonus are both coming in this week so I'll have a little moolah to burn. I mentioned a while back that my cmedia 8768+ is a pretty poor card, and despite my many attempts to fix it, the microphone port is about the weakest ive ever used ( you have to deepthroat a low impedance microphone just to be heard at whisper level) now, i occaisionally record songs for myspace, so obviously its a problem. I'm looking for a budget soundcard at the 20-30 pound mark, and iv'e seen one or two sound blasters that might fit the bill.

what I need to know is the following:

1.which soundcard would give the best recording capabilities for its price level and..

2. it has to be regular PCI, not PCI-E

I have an Audigy 1 if you want it cheap, PCI-E though. Never used, comes with disk too.

do you record songs from myspace or for your page? Anything with a line-in(audio-in) or mic will do just fine for recording. And then from their any kind of compressions is of your choice.
