New socket 1366

Hey,

I am looking for an x58 motherboard. I have seen the sabertooth at £150 which seems a decent price. Are there any others that I should be on the look out for?

Why x58? Well I was lucky enough to win the lanparty t3h6 but turns out that it was bad...And is past its warranty. But I have been playing games on it, was a bit hit and miss to get it to post. But once it did it worked, though only seeing 4/12gb.

Looks like the Sabertooth mb is one of the cheapest x58 in sale atm. I think it is a good and popular mobo with good oc capabilities. Maybe you could get a good x58 second hand ? one option is to sell the 1366 cpu and get sandy bridge or ivy bridge set up.

not sure you will get more board for you buck anywhere dude, even 2nd hand tbh

only downside is it only has 3 dimm slots but with 4gb sticks being so cheap now thats still 12gb.

thanks for that guys, saw those two and have decided to go with the saber. It got a great review from here.

only downside is the design of the slots. the pci is right next to the pcie_1, seems that i needa new wireless card.

found a pcie X1, so i should be good.

Plus corsair have the board on their QVL
