New screen help!!

Hey guys im having a problem with my new monitor its a http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=MO-034-BQ, it arrived today, im very happy with but when in games mostly maily on blacks and a bit on colours the horizontal lines flicker, and it does it lil bit on internet on colours but its not contant (like new page opening), im running it a 60 hertz 1920 by 1080. my gfx card its a 8800gt with lyk 200 somthing memory do you think it could be that? im think of getting a ATI 6950 for it, thanks guys.

If you didn't have those problems with your old monitor, its not the video card, its the monitor. I have had a similar problem before. BenQ monitors aren't the best quality to be honest. Try using another monitor to rule out the video card and return the monitor if its not that.

Brand new monitor and a extremely old video card, let me take a guess..test with another video card.

BenQ may not be the best, but they are up there. So don't think that a brand new monitor from any brand is going to be faulty (chances of that these days are minimal).

^^^Yeah tried that mate with my new gtx 570, and still in games i can flicker quite horribly so i rang up benq customer service and hopefully is going to be sorted soon, i know benq ain the best but im sure it shouldnt do what it does.

if you tried it with another video card it could either be the cable or the monitor.
