Little to my knowledge Sapphire released their new Z77 mobo at the start of May (didn't even know they made mobo's). Now, this would normally be just another normal motherboard that no one posts about in this section, but this is a little bit different because of one major aspect...

It's got a brown PCB!

This is actually a huge shame because this board actually performs well and is a very good price to, should be just under £100 (currently $150 in the states), but it's brown...

You say this board performs really well? Comparable to the Sabretooth, UD3 or UD5?

Performance wise it's around the area of the Asus Z77-V and Pro and sits inbetween the ASRock Extreme4 and Extreme6. However, it does not support SLI at all and the bios is not the best, but it's ok

The Saphire x58 boards were good, the P67 and Z68 ones not so good, looks like they have got it right this time though. Shame they can't get a licence off Nvidia to use a NF100 and are stuck with lucid.

I actually like it, not entirely sure why

Looks almost 'classy' except that isn't the right word (it's a motherboard after all

Sapphire needs to do more higher end motherboards, There P67 is frickin killer, but it went out of stock before i could get one. £90 they were the best thing by a long way
