New Router help?

Hi,

I just upgraded my router from a Linksys WRT100 to a Trendnet TEW-639GR. I used to be able to play all my games just fine. Now, I can't play any online games. With both Bad Company 2 and L4D, the game can get the server list, but connect to them. What am I doing wrong? I am a rookie when it comes to networking, so if there is some obvious problem, please let me know.

Must be a configuration problem from within the router dude, you may have to set up ports for the games to use so they can connect properly. Just for the sake of trying, disable the routers firewall and see if it works.

I took your advice about disabling the firewall. The only problem is I don't think my router has a built in firewall. If it does, I have no idea where it is or how to access it.

Never mind. I disabled UPnP and it fixed my issue. Thanks for your help.
