new pump quite loud!

Hi got this new pump http://www.scan.co.uk/products/laing-ddc-pump-12v-ddc-1plus-18w-with-3-8-(10mm)-fitting-max-22-psi-powered-by-molex-4pin nice pump but it makes the most noise in all my case how can i make it a bit quieter?

Is it fitted directly to a res?

yeah then i think its always going to be loud, you can dampen them with velcro and padding etc but not when their on a res i remember when i had my 18w ddc it was the loudest thing in my case by a mile but now i have two seperate with xspc and petres tops and they arent half as loud

dam i like a quiet pc could i get some sort of 4pin molex to 4 pin molex cable with a resistor to make it 7v instead of 12v

could i use this http://www.dixons.co.uk/gbuk/dynamo...8d9b-22e0185f57a7&istItemId=xmrmxqxl&istBid=t to convert the molex on the pump to a 3pin female header and then use a 7v fan reducer to lower the noise.

Its way to loud for what i want think ill go back to my old xspc 750 pump even if it was a slow flow rate it still kept it cool and didnt make a bit of noise.

are you sure there are no air pockets?

I had air pocket in my pump and it made alot of noise.

Now I have no air and run pump at level 1 until I get proper noise padding below pump.

Also if you have res on top maybe it never can be noiseless unless the res can remove.

So in worst case return the pump/res?
