New psu choice

Ok my HX750i is buzzing and causing bad coil whine on my 1080ti so I need to replace it urgently. Having a bit of a budget my choices are:

Corsair RM850X
Corsair HX760x relacement
Used (on Amazon warehouse) AX860

I have no interest in corsair link it's just more bloatware and extra cables to me

Anyone give advice on which I should choose

You could even get away with an RM650X to save some money if the budget is tight
An EVGA Supernova G2 is a good choice as well if you don't want the corsair stuff.
But out the ones you list, the HX760. Probably because it is the cheapest but still great value/quality

The RM850x is £120
The HX750i is £135
The used very good condition AX860 is £12

so they are all in my budget I want the one that best prevents coil whine

If you have coil whine on GPU it is not caused by PSU. It will not go away with the new PSU. It usually happens on extremely high FPS like in game menus. Try limiting FPS with V-Sync, G-Sync, or whatever you can get with your monitor. Crank up AA and details so you can drop FPS. Dropping FPS in any way should reduce the coil whine. For PSU RM650X would be bang on for your system. Anything above is bonus. I would recommend going with new PSU. I am never confident with used PSUs. Other components yes, PSU no.

Have a look at the Superflower Leadex II series on OCUK :). I have the Leadex Gold 750W in my rig they are excellent PSU'S. 2 years on and i'm still happy I bought it.

I've gone for the RM750x, I did look at the superflower leader II but they don't have any braided cables available that retain the caps on them and having custom ones made is out of my budget but the RM series do so ripple suppression will still be good which will give my GPU good clean power.

The reason I think it's my PSU causing the whine is when I RMA'D it YOYO tech said they tested it on their rig for 2 days and it was totally silent which leads me to believe it's my rig causing the problem. I did notice whine coming from my PSU at load so I'm swapping it out getting rid of the cable extensions and going for a full set direct from the PSU so I eliminate any potential cause of the whine.

Coil whine is a real irritation to me when I've spent £750 on a graphics card I expect it to be silent. I run an ASUS swift 144hz monitor so I like to aim my frame rate at 144hz or as close as I can get and don't want to cap my framerate

I looked at the prices of the braided Superflower cables so I dont blame you there mate. Some of them are £100 thereabouts and that's the cost of another decent PSU :o

I know and I noticed that their braided cables don't have the inline caps which defeats the object of me going for the psu as I want the reduced ripple to hopefully assist in getting rid of my coil whine. The corsair cablemod cables come with the caps so should do the job well and they look good but also cost a fortune
