Hey guys, got me a phase kit, had it running, then turned it off (was on for about 3 min), then, when i went near it, it sounded like there was a leak, now, iv gone to turn it on, compressor kicks in, but its not getting cold AT all.

Any ideas? what needs to be done, any repairs? who should i see, HAM!! Help me on this one?? getting paid tomorrow if you wanna come round and have a look for me??? Shall make it worth your while XD

Where did you get it from.. if its new it shouldnt leak??

Also, what sort of heat was it under.. Ive heard of floodback where the heat isnt strong enough to make it work properly or something :S

Take it back to who ever built it and get it checked out and fixed. And vent the room. Most refs are nasty things.

Its not under any heat, had it running on its own, put my hand on the end to give it something to cool, but dont wanna leave it running too long tbh.

Also, its not brand brand new, i think it may have slid on the plate it was on, either in transport a little then when being removed from the box a little more, damaging a pipe, or, like you said, floodback,

Its making all the right sounds, nothing strange going on besides that hissing sound, which has now stopped. Also, when its on, i can hear liquid and gas being pumped, so im confused,

I think you need to put it under load, as floodback is probably doing it no good at all :(

Floodback would mean there would be plenty of ice. Not none.

Floodback means over charged and it needs a load. Normaly an idle CPU will do that fine (50w say)

The sounds it should make is a bubberling noise on the suction line, thats the gas boiling off.

Hissing normaly means a leak pretty much.

Never put you hand on it. Frostbite can kill but more than anything you want to keep you hand! Skin grafs hurt trust me i've got my lower leg covered in one after being shot!

So the unit is mounted on a skid plat/pan and not fixed down at all. Sound bad too me. 1st Senders fault for not packing it right or fixing the unit down, 2nd Possible courrie pending the above!

Photos speak more that any amount of words could.

I got your PM too mate and replyed, catch me soon
