I'm happy to wait and see. I don't want to repeat doing a build prior to a chip release. I did that with my 1366 rig because I didn't know Sandy Bridge was just round the corner and didn't think to look into upcoming tech.
If Haswell IS overly expensive then if the e-tailers drop the price on Ivy Bridge a bit or are willing to do a bit of extra discount I may go for it... Otherwise I'll be buying Ivy Bridge E at the end of the year.
I expect to spend about £1600-1800. I'm not fussed by that cost. I already have £370 towards it. The Core 2 Quad chip I'm selling will end soon and hopefully that'll add another £90-110 to that.
I have some other items I can sell on ebay as well which I know will go for good money.
