Rockmelt Beta
So a few weeks ago loads of people were commenting on this new browser: Rockmelt and it's social media interoperability, which i have to say, is pretty handy. A recent update now sees push updates in the form of a balloon message at the bottom right of the browser to let you know what your friends, twitter feeds, RSS feeds and other social media are up to as they come in. Its a great browser, based off of Google Chrome, but very different. Just take a peek at the video below and you will see what i mean. As it stands, it is invite only and i have 8 left, but i think you get more invites the longer you use it. (nice idea)

Opera 11 Beta
Also i took the opportunity to try the new Opera 11 beta; i like it for different reasons, especially the idea of static iconic items on a sidebar. The main feature i love is the ability to integrate email so easily, i set my Gmail up inside the browser in about 1 minute. This really is battle of the browsers at the moment, as i have used Firefox for years now, but i am being swayed away by these new and exciting features. Check it out below. You can download it here: http://www.opera.com/browser/next/

TweetDeck
Finally before Rockmelt came onto the scene, i was using a nice little program called Tweet Deck to syndicate my social media e.g. Twitter, Facebook and LinkedIn. It is a nice program and allows you to simultaneously post messages to FB, Twitter and LinkedIn through 1 simple text box. Great if you are at a PC all day and have it on in the background. (You can also get it for most smartphones) See an example below:
So, if you are into getting the most out of your browser, i would try Opera/Rockmelt and if you love social media then TweetDeck/Rockmelt are a good bet also.
