Hey everyone, joined this forum after I saw it mentioned in a YouTube video by TimeToLiveCustoms.

Mainly joined this forum for some help and guidance.

My current PC is around 4 years old, and does sound like it's overheating on some games, so I have decided it's best to get a new pc.

I will be buying on finance so I can't buy the components separate and then build the PC from scratch, so I've had a good look around for websites that have PC configuration and well I've found one, now I just need to decide which system to buy.

PC Number 1:

COOLERMASTER CM STORM SNIPER

AMD PHENOM II X6 1055T

ASUS® M4A78LT-M LE

4GB CORSAIR DDR3 DUAL-DDR3 1333MHz

1GB ATI RADEON™ HD 5770

640GB WD CAVIAR GREEN

CORSAIR 650W PSU

TITAN FENRIR EXTREME DIRECT TOUCH COPPER CPU COOLER

Total Price: £904

PC Number 2:

COOLERMASTER CM STORM SNIPER

AMD PHENOM II X4 965

ASUS® M4A87TD

4GB CORSAIR DDR3 DUAL-DDR3 1333MHz

1GB ATI RADEON™ HD 5770

640GB WD CAVIAR GREEN

CORSAIR 650W PSU

TITAN FENRIR EXTREME DIRECT TOUCH COPPER CPU COOLER

Total Price: £905

Which should I go for I've already gone over my budget so I can't spend anymore.

The PC will be used for gaming, current games played are Football Manager 2010 and The Sims 3 with expansion packs.

Although I would like the PC to have the ability to play some of the latest games if I choose to buy them, mainly Modern Warfare 2 etc.

So which would be best?

Thanks for the help, both prices include Windows 7 64-bit.

I wasn't sure if the Mobo was any greater difference, whether one was more suitable then the other?

Cheers.

Also thoughts on the Sniper Storm Case and the HAF 932 Case, I want ultimate cooling and not sure which one was best, Storm Sniper is winning at the minute, because of the dust filters, but the Storm is also £29 more, is it worth the £29 more?

Welcome to this place of pure epicness!! :D

As for which system to choose.. I'm not sure.

System #1 has a faster CPU (although #2 also has a pretty damn fast CPU) but system #2 has a much nicer motherboard.

I'm not a fan of mAtx motherboards so I would go with system #2 :p

Maybe you can swap out the motherboard for the one system #2 has? :)

Ideally I wanted to stay away from micro ATX mobo's as the components are closer together and therefore get hotter a lot quicker I've been told.

So to go for the ASUS® M4A87TD, it bumps my price upto £921.

Sorry to add more systems to the list but just came across one more :)

From Overlockers.

Any possible problems with that set up?

That last one features a faster CPU, memory, and hard drive than the other two, but the other two feature a better case, heatsink and psu. I'm not 100% sure on which of the 3 motherboards is best, but you could read some reviews on that and figure out which one is best.

The PC in my first post with the 1055T would need to go upto £921 total as the mobo is a micro ATX, and I'd like to stay away from micro ATX's.

The memory has now been changed so I can only select Samsung branded so I'm not too sure if they are any good or not.

Yea man just spend a little more and get #1 with a ATX mobo and you'd be set. That Sniper case is a really good case. Even with a mATX I think you'd be perfectly fine on temps especially with that case.

Cheers, I nearly bought the PC two days ago until I found out I couldn't afford it yet.

I can afford the actual deposit but I have to pay a £55 arrangement fee

Hey people, I was just wondering if the stock AMD CPU Cooler was any good?

Reasons for asking I can save a little bit of money, but I will look to upgrade the CPU Cooler to either the Titan Fenrir or the Corsair H50 at a later date.
