drop the anti-mac campaign already lads. C'mon
Just telling the truth
My brother worked for Apple for 1 year and said he would gladly throw all of them to the sharks, Biggest "A" holes in the industry, Quite a lot of times he had to bite his tongue because some hipster Douchebag CEO talked down to him because he pointed out something logical or corrected something that was wrong, Didn't follow the sheep in the company or just didn't agree with someone who was being a dick.
I've known others who have worked for overpriced Apple and said they would gladly watch that company go out of business and be happy about it
There's no hope for apple. Once it no longer is so mainstream for teens who need macs to check Facebook, Apple will die horribly, or have to change direction. Either way I'm satisfied.
Very true but sadly you always get the idiots i.e hipsters, Defending companies like apple
I agree. I regularly have debates/arguments with said "hipsters" about why they choose to invest in for example a Mac Book Pro. They always say something stupid like ease of use, or whatever they say, but in the end they always end up saying that they like it because its "cool". Once I was talking to my school principal about why he had bought a mac. He actually brought up the whole ease of use thing. Unfortunately I couldn't really have a proper argument with him for obvious reasons, though. I guess hes just a hipster![]()
Either a hipster or just isn't informed enough
I do admit that yes apple products are pretty and easy to use but it just annoys me when someone says "Apple is good value for money" or "I got it because it's cool" Gets my blood boiling ^_^
Whenever someone says something that stupid, I don't even argue, I just laugh. Its not worth having that conversation because their brains probably cant handle the truth...
For example here is the specs of the basic 15" Macbook pro which STARTS at £2199.99 with the basic features-
Nope.
Its £1699 and it has:

- FaceTime HD camera
- Multi-Touch trackpad
- Up to 9 hours of battery life

Also, still nice to see you guys are comparing laptops that are for different markets. You're comparing what is effectively an Ultrabook (light, pretty screen, minimalist design, high build quality) with a gaming laptop I'm not an Apple fan but c'mon. Compare them like for like. Find an Ultrabook with similar/better specifications for cheaper.
You're both not the target market. Trust me, I'd have a macbook air (as I need something super light with a nice screen and fantastic build quality) if I hadn't been able to get a great deal on my Ultrabook.
Aorus has a quad core and 2 Nvidia cards in SLI each with 4GB of memory and is £1750, mac with a quad core and a low end GPU is 2200
My point still stands however. To call the MBP a gaming laptop is dumb. So why compare it to a gaming laptop? Also, still nice to see you guys are comparing laptops that are for different markets.

I guess, because of the price. If it costs more than a gaming laptop, it should at least perform similarly in my opinion.
When did I call the mac a gaming laptop ? Oh that's right I didn't, Please don't put words in my mouth dude that's a bit of a douchey thing to do.
And as I said earlier which you obviously missed, The argument wasn't over a macbook air vs a gaming laptop, it was about a macbook pro vs a gaming laptop.
Even though it has a 1600p screen, weighs less, has better warranty, runs a (imho crappy) OS that works much more efficiently with professional programs etc etc.
Yeah, as you can tell, most of us on here aren't the target market for Macbooks. People will bitch about Apple products all day because they're really not the right type of users for them. Same goes for the equally expensive, ultra light windows ultrabooks as well. I personally would be happy to sacrifice some performance for lightness and a pretty screen. Why? Because I already have a powerful-ish desktop. The macbook air is partially designed for that market (its also designed for people who want lightness above all). The pro is designed to be a laptop for photographers and people who need a bit more grunt than the air on the go. the professional photographer I know has a MBP for shooting on sight/ editing when they're away from home. He also has an old style Powermac (the old desktop apple) for heavy duty work/ storage.
Enough.
Macs have both good sides and drawbacks, as does any brand.
Fanboys are annoying, as are haters.
Back on topic please.
Yeah, it would have been wrong to compare a MacBook Air, to a gaming laptop, but we're not. That would be silly, because the Air is basically an ultrabook. However the Pro is meant to be a fully fledged powerful laptop, but it cant even touch similarly priced windows laptops (They could be called gaming laptops).
Edit: Didn't see Feronix' post. Ill get back on topic then
As has already been said which you obviously missed, Me and Madden were discussing macbook pro vs Aorus, Not the macbook air.
Exactly my point but some people just don't want to hear the facts.
Enough ? oook, We are discussing the pricing difference of computers not hating just not liking their pricing structure
Read my post I had edited. I was busy writing you a reply.
This has just turned into an Apple vs non-Apple/ yes vs no discussion that isn't getting anywhere. To add to that, this isn't helping OP in any way, considering they're not even looking for a gaming laptop or even a high-end one like the Macbook Pro you guys were discussing.
If you really want to continue the Apple discussion then feel free to post your own thread, but this has gone way off-topic.
