Ok, work will be paying for a new monitor (i decided this as i make hardware purchases) Any suggestions? 20" ish... nothing bigger, ideally not Widescreen.

Ok, anyone recommend Samsung SM2032BW or something similar (something with Blue LED light would be good), explain when i finally get pc sorted, fair to say bit of a blue LED freak.... to the point there will soon be some behind 37" Sony Bravia & sofa.

Well just ordered myself a Samsung SM2032BW. Thanks work for paying for it :).... used the "i work from home occasionally" line. Also helps i do IT purchasing lol.

If you're gonna go widescreen, maybe go for 22" or 24". You used to be able to get 22" screens for the same price as 20" ones.

They seem really expensive atm tho for some reason :(

edit: just noticed you've ordered a Samsung SM2032BW :) my old Samsung 913N is still amazing. I'm using it as my TV since getting a 24"

I had a Sony Triniton 20+ incher (21CFR-Component Video)for 15 years (and STILL works like new) so it was hard for me to go TFT/LCD, until I got a Samsung SyncMaster 215TW on eBay for $160 plus shipping about 6 months ago and believe me, it is "like new"... everything was in the original box, down to the tie-wraps! This is a GR8 monitor and I haven't plugged in the Sony since I set this one up. I REALLY like the connection options... most have only/and/or DVI and VGA but this also has HDCP-DVI, VGA, Component Video In, Composite Video In, Video, S-Video In and its Audio, L & R channel as well as a 3.5 mm PC input and a headphone jack on the front... so just WHAT can't you connect to this monsta? I keep a DVD player plugged in and with PIP I am never bored! I hope it lasts 15 years too. Samsung seems to be the one to choose, in any flavor you like.
