New laptop for higher education, need help.

Im about to start studying "AP Graduate in Multimedia Design and Communication". For this I will be working with Photoshop, Illustrator, inDesign and probably other Adobe software.

The school recommends a laptop with an i7 and 16GB ram, although I have no idea if that is correct or overkill.

My priority is a silent laptop. I have stationary so it doesnt need any gaming-power. Budget is £1000, although since im moving im interested in not having to spend it all if I can avoid it.

Out of all of those, I'd be tempted by the Toshiba at £750 for its later model CPU.

Have a look at the Surface Pro 3, great for studying but will consume a lot of your budget.
