New Laptop

Im off to college this week so I have decided a laptop upgrade will come in very handy. Still need to work out where my gaming pc will 'live' and obviously my laptop will go everywhere with me.

Anyway, enough chit chat. I'm looking for a multimedia laptop with decent gaming performance but still a reasonably thin form. I've been pondering on getting an asus N56VB or VJ or whatever one it is. Thats with an i7, 8gb ram, etc etc. But im having trouble finding stock for one for under £800. £800 is my raised budget so i don't really want to go any higher than this.

Any suggestions?

So just to clarify, the things i would like:

Intel i5 or i7 Processor
8GB Ram
Dedicated Graphics (something that can actually play games at
1080 - dont matter about settings)
1080p Display
15" Form
No bulkyness here please
Under £800

I am willing to make compromises in places as well.

Thanks

Found one.
Configured it with a low end i5, 1tb hybrid HDD and 8gb ram bringing it to ~£780. An 860m with a 1080p screen should be fine for most games.
PC specialist Optimus V 15.6''.

A lenovo z50-70 is another option. I think the gpu is an 840m but it has a better screen, better build quality and a better processor. quite a bit less gpu grunt though.

Thanks for your quick replies. This intrigues me. What are PC specialist laptops like? My initial thought process was that because laptops are often much less customisable that you needed to buy a specifically designed laptop rather than customise to your liking. So basically my main concerns here are overheating and build quality. Are these a problem at all?

Mine is great, been running for about 4 years now and no problems, cooling has never been an issue (you can choose better thermal compound for an extra £7 too) and the build quality is up there with the big brands you'll get laptops from within the price range.
