New info on the AMD Fusion APUs

Hardware Canucks have a preview of one of the new Gigabyte FM1 Fusion motherboards, the A75-UD4H.

All fairly standard stuff. Not much information on it, but a few pictures.

What really got my attention was this graphic:

Yes, that says the Fusion A8 Processors are going up against the Intel Core i5/i7!

Where does that put the new FX/Bulldozer CPUs I hear you ask? I ask that too. Above the Fusion chips? If so...

BD is 50% faster than the i7-950 and will match up pretty much to the i7-2600K.

If its faster it will be marginal, and as ever with technology, temporary.

Then Ivy Bridge comes, of course Sandy Bridge E, but those aren't going to compete at this kind of price point.
