It looks like AMD is readying some new APUs in the form of their A8-7690K and A10-7890K, both of which feature clock speed improvements over their predecessors with no increase in TDP.

Read more on AMD's A8-7690K and AMD 7890K APUs.

Come on AMD, please please please work on Enthusiast CPUs, drop the iGPU for a while and give us some power cores.

These based on Excavator?
I wouldn't think so. Next year is the date for the desktop Excavator based APUs I think.

I'm hoping Their top end Zen CPU's will be a proper return to the enthusiast market, I'd love to be rocking an all AMD rig again :)
Wouldn't we all?

I'm on the cusp of buying a Skylake system for myself, I'm just waiting for availability of the 6700k and a particular motherboard I've picked out.

I want the 6700K and an MSI board too Zoot. Maybe if AMD gets it together with some High-Performance CPUs, I'll have an all AMD box again.
