new i7 build any advice please?

hey guys iam planning to get a i7 build later but i need advice my budget is around 1120 euros max

Hmmmm Hmmmm let me take a look.

What's the 10% doing there? The prices are composed are from the cheapest shops in all over the Netherlands. If you want to buy from a single shop you'll pay around 5-10% more.

You could save a few euros by going for the 4870 1GB, should keep you within budget a bit more

Don't buy 1600Mhz mems. Buy 1333Mhz CL7, the difference is almost inexistent. And the second ones are cheaper.

1600MHz stuff is useful if you OC the 920. At 200MHz BClk you've got 2 real options for the RAM, 1200MHz and 1600MHz (ok theres higher if you have some really fast stuff). I dont know how much the lower mem speed would affect performance, I suppose it depends what you use it for, but I'd take the 1600MHz.

For gaming it isn't of any use to go i7 with that video card. I'd go for an E8x00 and a 4870(x2) then.

You would have to upgrade though, your 9600 will REALLY be bottlenecking the i7. Going for a C2D series cpu with new gpu is cheaper and better for at least the coming 2 years imho.

It would be bad for your performance. The i7 would probably be loaded for 5% or less while the GPU is completely freaking at 100%.

U could certainly buy the best that 775 has to offer and retain the 9600gt.

Or I can understand ur thinking of getting an i7, using the 9600gt - then ofc ur 1 upgrade to finalizing a top system.

Yes you could still game, but at only slightly higher settings than you currently can.
