New Headset

Well, my current headset seems to be slowly taking a crapper, guess I was too hard on the wiring. In order to get sound, i hav to position the cable a certain way So, for now I've taped the cable to a usable position, but obviously that is only a temporary solution. Got it last year (well, the year before) and it only has a 1 year warranty, so... now I'm in the market for a new headset, and while I'm at it, maybe a better sound card as well (current: TB Santa Cruz). I've actually been seriously considering a full Razer Barracuda set, but that price... woo ! I would like only headset suggestions as I just don't have any space around my desk for speakers. Any suggestions welcome

I used to have a SantaCruz card before, they were great. As to headphones how much $$ ?

Well, I have actually yet to talk about this with my parents, so I can't give an accurate price range atm. Just suggest whatever, and we'll go from there I suppose

I think a nice X-Fi and a set of Zalmans or medusa's will do nicely, depending on funds

I can now vouch for the Zalmans 5.1s being very decent.

Steelsound 5H V2s

Barracudas

Obviously, if I go with the Barracudas, I would get eh AC-1 card. On the others though, probably either a Audigy 2 ZS or X-Fi

Medusa 5.1 is amazinnnnnnng. I mean ot vibrates when ur flying a helicoptor for example
