New Headset

Ok, I need a good quality wireless(I will go for a wired one if need be) headset to go with my new gaming laptop I plan to order in June. I would prefer something of the Circumaural design. At the moment I am looking at the Logitech G930, Creative Labs GH0100 Sound Blaster World of Warcraft Wireless Headset, or the RAZER Megalodon(Yeah I know it is not wireless but It's from Razer

) If anyone has any recommendations I would love to here them!

I wouldnt buy the 930.. I own the G35 (which is the same thing but wired) and the sound quality is absolutely mediocre. I must say that you can really hear footsteps well (been called a cheater several times in CS:p),but the sound is sooo hollow:( so unless the headset is strictly for gaming i wouldnt go for it. Get some pc 350s^^

Yeah the top rated headsets are the SteelSeries 7H, Siberia V2, or the PC 350s. PC 350s are considered the best though. Multiple reviews say them things are amazing. I myself am going to get the 7H solely because I'm a SS lover

They fixed it slightly with the G930s, i had some similar issues with the G35 with minor hollow sounds. But the G930 fixed a lot of it, but the bass response is slightly less with the G930s than it is with the G35s.

I want to add another situation. Remember this is for a laptop which has a basic sound card so keep in mind that the headset you choose should be like the Razer Megeladon and work via USB and off of its own separate sound card. I am pretty sure I have sided with Razer's Megeladon as I have heard great things about its Audio quality and besides who can't enjoy a Razer product XD

I don't enjoy Razer products

But like I said, the PC 350s are the best but they don't come with a USB dongle

Even with a basic sound card and headphones jacks, you'll still be running 5.1 sound in your headset easy. But if you really want the 7.1, I'd honestly get the SteelSeries 7H or the Siberia v2. They both have optional 7.1 USB soundcards, and, they are honestly far more comfortable. My friend has the Megaladon and they aren't really comfortable. If I was to buy any of the Razer headsets I'd get the Carcharias.

Another thing to note about the SteelSeries 7H is you can pull it apart, making it amazing for travel, and you get two different sets of changable earcups, for whether you want to cancel sound out, or still hear your surroundings.

Here's the Linus comparison

Yeah but I really don't like how they look D:

True, either do I. I prefer the siberias. If you want a usb dongle get the siberias. They have a headband essentially, rather then a plastic piece with padding. It feels a lot more comfortable, and has that unique look. The usb fyi is 7.1 aswell and they come in cheaper then the megladons. Im on my phone so I cant link you a review, but there are a few on youtube where youll see what I mean about the headband. It basically stretches to fit your head. Either way, theyre both great headphones, but bang for your buck is definitely the siberia v2. Its usb dongle also isnt huge like the megladon.
