I bought a h100i this morning and it's now inside my system. It struggles to keep a 4.5ghz 3570k cool at only 1.23v.
I've been reinstalling the link software, even updated my firmware, but the pump is to loud to be useable and the cooling is nowhere.
It's not a rattling or gorgling noise, its just like someone is using a chainsaw next to me.
Anyway, i'm returning it first thing tomorrow, but that leaves me without a cooler. I still have my dark rock pro, which was way quieter than this one is.
So what would you recommend me to do ? Ask for a replacement H100i, or ask money back and go for a D14, silver arrow, or ;y favourite, the big old phanteks cooler.
Noise is 60% important, cooling only 40%
edit: I'm using a prodigy with the p8z77 i deluxe board and some gskill ripjaws ram

Give it a few days and the pump noise should settle down.... If it dont then send it back to corsair for a replacement...

What temps are you getting ?

You should maybe think about delidding....

At max fan speeds and 1.3v its around 86°c. I've thought about delidding a lot, but when i do take the ihs off, im going to keep it that way, if you say that the problem will fix itself, can i run my h100i on a naked ivy ?

You need an adapter to run naked and also you need to take off the metal strenghtening bracket on the motherboard , but trust me, youll see temps drop by around 20c when you delidd without the need to run naked (makes sure you buy liquid metal ultra and not liquid metal pro, its easier to reapply)... What are you differences between core temps ? have a look at this thread for some comparisons - http://forum.overclock3d.net/showthread.php?t=51850
