I 2nd AMDftw, I have a GTX 570 twin frozr III (now 2 of them) but even with one I tore through every game I threw at it at 1920-1080 res.

But 120Hz monitor its perfect for games:)But if anybody know some good monitor for games give me example:)Thanks

Why not LED??I really dont care about 3D I just need 120Hz.

MSI GTX 580 Ligthning?Good choice?Or maybe Gigabyte 580 SOC??

I have a friend that has the lightning, its savage. I would pick that over the soc.

3GB in 580 Lightning Xtreme its not overkill for 1920x1080?

EVGA sc its referent card

I heard that 580 Lightning have really good OC ability

I have the Gigabyte GTX 580 Super Overclocked and I have to say I'm very impressed by the temps/noise/performance. I bought it from Scan.

I have not overclocked it myself as I'm very new to computer building let alone overclocking. It is more than enough for my current needs.

Can you not wait a few months until Nvidia releases their new Kepler GPUs? As I would have though your 470 is fine for your size monitor?

If u don't want to wait for nvidia's new chips- I would have to say for a 1920x1080 screen get the asus matrix GTX 580 platinum for the following reasons: 1) it looks sick 2) good cooler and good temps 3) good OCing abilities (due to cooler + voltage tweaking buttons + if ur hardcore there are little moding things on the board that u can short out for extreme OCing 4) the 1.5 GB and the 3GB 580 's won't be different on ur screen

But I must say, since I have one, my opinion is a little bias

OK, instead of that monitor get an ASUS VG236H (with glasses) or VG236HE (without glasses). Much better picture than the Xl2410T, and the next step up is the Alienware one.

If you want to overclock, go for a MSi GTX 580 Ligthning, or even Twin Frozr II/OC, same coolers, slightly different PCBs.

Nearly all of the 580s overclock well (I OC'd mine to 900MHz).

But the best thing about the Lightning/Twin Frozr is the noise level i.e. its extremely quiet.

Forget the Gigabyte and EVGA editions, they are much louder, unless you don't care about noise, in which case the EVGA Superclocked Edition is the best by far. The Matrix is huge, it takes 3 slots to do what the MSi can do in 2.

But in reality, you don't really need to upgrade from the 470, its still a good card. Unless you are really into the 120Hz, in which case only the 580 is going to do. (or the 570 if you play less demanding games).

Thanks guys for that many replays

I don't wont to wait till 2012 for new Nvidiad chips:)580 is good enough

Ya93sin I was also thinking about this Asus monitor
smile.gif
But I'm not sure yet...

Yeah 580 Matrix looks SICK

Its 3slots card I know, but so far I will run at single GPU so I still have lots of space for my Asus Xonar D2.Maybe i will do SLI in next few months and than i would have to change my sound card to Xonar D2X(its the same card but with PCI-E X1 connector). Its no problem to fit 2xmatrix in rv03.

Hopefully I will get GPU and monitor in next week(this friday pay day

).

And Scan, Overclockers.uk and Aria are not anymore selling 580 lightning. Also Martix its cheaper

Under 400pounds there its not really any better 580.

Sounds like you're gonna have some fun then

But do look at that monitor, its very nice

And if everywhere has the Lightning out of stock then you are better off with the Matrix

Yeah man

Its bit cheaper than BenQ but I'm bit affraid about glosy screen?I'm big fan of Asus products but I never had any monitor from them

How long you using this monitor and what is your opinion about it??

I think that I definitely go for Asus Matrix

sweet, let us know when you get it, and how you like it

(just a warning you, its not that loud BUT if you put the fans at 100% with software or that button, it will sound and EVEN FEEL like your rig is about to take off and fly, first time i pushed that button i think my room was vibrating
