I'd be more than happy to help you getting rid of some of those codes
For gaming (and I don't do a tonn of it if I'm honest) I much prefer Nvidia. I know they arn't perfect and I'm sure I will be told AMD do a much better job with their drivers etc. But, from past experience, a game is more likely to work properly on release on an Nvidia card rather than ATI/AMD.
I see different stories around the net, ranging from, AMD drivers are great to they still have major issues. On top of that, Nvidia offer adaptive vsync plus some other bits.
However when it comes to none gaming needs I'm wide open when it comes to choise and the way I figure it, getting one Nvidia card (main rig) and one ATI/AMD card (folding rig) I'm also covering my bases when it comes to what new fah cores work best on what in the future.
Those 7950s do look tempting but it's really going to be down to how much I can get for the 560 and 560 Ti. The 7870 can be had for around £160 where as the 7950 starts at around £220 which is quite a jump in price.
I know I should be able to get at least close to a new 7870 with the sale of my other cards, it's going to boil down to how far away I am from the price of a 7950 as to which one I will get.
I think I have pretty much made up my mind, sell both my cards (keeping none for Physx) getting a 770 for the main rig and with the sale of my other cards getting the best ATI/AMD card I can afford.
The next month is going to be both tense and fun as I wait to see how all this pans out and then playing with (hopefully) two new toys.
